The following terms and conditions apply to the rental of landline telephone sets (the Rental Equipment) between Bell MTS, a division of Bell Canada. (“Bell MTS”) and the customer who rents the Rental Equipment (“You”). By virtue of your use of the Rental Equipment, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Monthly Charges – You agree to pay the monthly charge for the Rental Equipment. The amount of such charge will depend on the type of landline telephone set you choose. The monthly charge may be changed by Bell MTS upon reasonable notice to you. The charge will be billed to the account associated with
your telephone number on a monthly basis.

Rental Equipment Repair – Bell MTS will provide maintenance and repair to the Rental Equipment at no charge when such maintenance or repair is required due to normal wear and tear. In the event of damage beyond reasonable wear and tear, Bell MTS may charge for such repair or replacement, as the case may be, of the Rental Equipment. Bell MTS is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of your use of the Rental Equipment, and is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of any malfunctioning of the Rental Equipment for any reason or cause whatsoever. You are responsible at all times for the Rental Equipment. In the case of damage to the Rental Equipment through any cause whatsoever, such as damage caused by flooding, fire, natural disasters, deliberate damage, household pets and pests, your own equipment, sewer backup or theft or loss of the Rental Equipment, you are responsible for repair or replacement of the Rental
Equipment.

If You Choose to No Longer Rent the Landline Telephone Set – If you decide you no longer want the Rental Equipment, you can return the Rental Equipment to Bell MTS. Should you fail to return the Rental Equipment to Bell MTS, Bell MTS may charge you for the replacement value of the Rental Equipment either as a charge on the account associated with your telephone number, or by collecting such amount from you in the normal course if you are no longer a customer of Bell MTS. Your return of the Rental Equipment does not relieve you from any liability, including any amounts owing to Bell MTS, accrued prior to or at the time you returned the Rental Equipment.
